exploring our new LY but some early quest.

have any of you any experience of why the high beams don't work? relay, fuse, switch, etc.?

does anyone know if the headlights are the standard rectangular sealed beam type? i want to replace the low beams with a HD conversion kit if anyone has any experience...

and this is dumb, how do i telescope out the steering wheel?

there appears to be a volume control and headphone jack over the bed, how does that suppose to work? can't get it to change the volume of the stereo.

anyone recommend a conversion package to add a dishwasher?

anyone recommend a conversion package for the stove that would include an oven? any cons to this?

thanks in advance!

I don't know about the headlights or steering wheel on your 2000, but maybe I can help on some of the other stuff.

The headphone jacks, speaker and volume control over the bed on our coach is for the TV.

We have never checked on a dishwasher, I wouldn't want to add the weight.

One of the first thing we did was replace the stove-top with a range with a full oven. You loose some storage drawers under the stove-top but you got to have an oven! We bought an Atwood http://www.atwoodmobile.com/images/A...esentation.pdf

Good luck, enjoy and keep us posted.

Not so dumb - when I had my LY, there was a knob on the steering column on the left below the multipurpose turn signal / high beam switch. As I recall, pushing down moved the wheel up and down and pulling it up set the tilt. A photo of what I had is here http://vsquare.com/blkmagikca/1107/m...images/020.JPG

BTW, mine was on a Spartan chassis.

"anyone recommend a conversion package to add a dishwasher?"

Don't you have enough on your plate at the moment? Bringing in a new dishwasher usually results in some joy and a lot of grief.

The general result is the old dishwasher claims her seniority rights and asks for unreasonable compensation.

I wish mine came with an oven. May consider loosing some drawers to gain an oven as well.

it's a real bummer having to work 7 days a week when i want to come home and explore the ly in the daylight!

does anyone know of a convenient wire to tap into to provide switched 12VDC for the new radio i'm installing? ideally, it would switch off when i turn off the engine key or the generator.

Personally I like having access to the radio when the ignition is off. That way I don't need to turn on the key to listen to the radio when parked. You may better find the answer to your question in the Flat Front/XL forum. That forum is more specific to the model you have.
