Drip Gutters 2004 LY

Has Anyone re done the drip gutters, mine are gone looks like they just eroded away after time. I can see that there is a piece of the gutter left under the metal bar, looks like it is riveted in. I did not want to drill the rivet out until I know whats back there. Any feed back appreciated.

I just finished outside delamination repair and had to reinstall that side gutters. We drilled out the old rivets and drilled new holes, slightly bigger than the old hole and the depth of the new rivet and installed the new rivets. No problem, gutter feels solid and no leaks. Good Luck.

Is your rail thin like this one. I only have 1 rivet and really do not want to drill it out. I was hoping the left over spout that has broken off was glued behind it.

Did not want to create more problems than not having a spout.

Ignore the caulk job that is going to be re done.

mine are like this. drill out the existing rivet, install the plastic drip gutters and caulk the hole and put in a new rivet. easy and no leaks on mine. very solid and easy to do

These are the gutters I purchased. If you have a shot of yous that would be great.

Was that rivet only holding in the gutter or is it holding the metal rail to the MH?

My gutters were in above average condition but one on right front was bent from install of the awning. What I did not have, and needed badly, were the gutter extensions. Both my AC units drip a huge amount of condensation and it just rolls off the roof at lowest point. The new extensions keep it from leaking down the side. I used a clear caulk around them to keep in place.

I'm about to do mine too. Just got the correct gray paint and I'll spray them later this week to match the the upper part of the RV. . I see on my 2004 LY that there is an aluminum rivet that looks to be holding the old spouts in place.. I hope anyway. How did your install go?

I drilled out the rivet, put in new downspout and cauked the hole and put new rivet in and all has been good for 8 years. I did not paint mine, but now that I am retired, i would paint the new ones first if I had to do it again
