DW has decided to go a different direction in flooring.
I thought she wanted Golden Zebra Strand Bamboo engineered flooring from Lumber Liquidators...wrong!
She purchased Bottom of the Sea Carpet Tiles:
She found the company online "Lots of Carpet" and after talking to the sales rep in Georgia, she was sold.
She took the time to capture every nook and cranny of Katy's floor plan in order to determine the number of carpet squares required:
By her calculations we only need about 14 squares (36" X 36"), she purchased 18 in order to have some spares.
Turns out the carpet squares (including shipping to TN), is less then 1/2 the price of the bamboo. I'm onboard for the savings ($$$)!
Squares will arrive tomorrow.
I plan to lay down 1/4 plywood (glued & screwed) to the existing chipboard floorboard on Sunday.
DW will sharpen up her trusty carpet knife and install the squares in the afternoon.
Wish us luck!
