Clearance lights

I bought some at the local truck stop. Then I discovered that the whole fixture didn't need to be replaced, just the mounting screws, the gasket and the light sockets. I pirated the new ones for parts and rebuilt the originals.

Check out the Truck-Lite catalog online.

They'll probably have it. Then when you find the part #, Google it to find a distributor or order it on Amazon.

Good luck!

Those are the same as the NAPA 1571 and 1571A even the part number is the same. I was really hoping to just replace the lenses.

It will always help if you post a picture of what the question is about. It will save everybody time.

These are what is on the Clipper and I think they should be the same as yours. These a LED and are worth upgrading to.

I doubt you will find replacement lens for these old bulb style. The lamps are cheap to buy. But why spend money on obsolete stuff if you are going to upgrade anyway.
Buy a couple LED lamps or more and use the extra lens to repair your old lamps if needed.

NOTE: The lens from the LED lamps are not quite the same color as the old lens and should not be used on the old lamps and vise versa.

The problem with the old lamps, you have already experienced with the leaking.
The water runs down the back of the lamp and follows the wire inside. These old style lamps were made to be mounted vertically only, and the drain must be below the bulb housing. If the bulb housing gets any moisture around it, it will only drain inside to your insulation, long before it has rotted the bulb socket.

The LED are sealed and eliminate the leak problem.

I will upgrade to LED when I have all the bugs ironed out on this beast. I just got off the phone from Airstream and they gave me a part number for the red lenses 510984-010 I have to call a dealer to purchase them. I hope they don't cost a fortune.

The dealer will charge you the price of the new lamp, and just ship you the lens for about the same price you paid for the motorhome.

If you are intent on staying with the old inefficient, leak style lamps, you should probably just buy a replacement for the extra $.34 /unit as you will need it sooner than later.

Here's something to check out, I re-bedded our marker lights and they stooped leaking. If you re-bed yours check and see if they are on the right way up. There is a drain hole in the housing so condensation under the lens can drain out. I found about half of our lights with that hole facing up instead of down!

The original clearance lights did not always have a good seal against water inclusion. As well, you could never know what the PO did. After constant fussing with clearance lights where the bulbs lost contact, and water managed to seep in around the the so-called gasket, I bought all new clearance lights from Dan (LED4RV.COM) - now they all matched, and led lights don't have the same issues regarding the contacts to the bulbs corroding.

After I sold the LY and bought a trailer, I did the same thing - all incandescent lighting, inside & out were replaced with LED's.
