Changing lock mechanism on coach door.

I am trying to change the lock on my 2000 L.Y. I have drilled out the three rivets that I thought were holding the door lock in place. I have also taken the screws off the plastic cover that the lock rests on. However, I am unable to get the locking mechanisim to come apart. Am I missing a step? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I replaced our door mechanism a couple years ago. Don't know if they are the same. Do you have a picture?

Photos from the BarnacleBill replacement

I found the photos from the repair we did back in '08 and the manufacturer's information:

TriMark Corporation
500 Bailey Avenue
P.O. Box 350
New Hampton, Iowa 50659
United States
Tel: 641-394-3188
Fax: 641-394-2392

www.trimarkcorp.com

The mechanism was held in by three bolts from the inside and the caulking from the outside.

Thanks for the pics Bill. They were very helpful. My initial problem was replacing the red lever that locks the door. So i bought the new plate from A.S. However, it looks like a previous owner may have tried to fix this at some time in the past and during the process wore out the philips heads on the screws. When I looked at them I thought they were rivets and this made sense because it was A.S. The pictures show that not to be the case. I will now have to replace the whole mechanisim because I tried to drill out what I thought were rivets. I have now made a small job much larger and more expensive.
Thanks again, Ken
