CB Antenna Replacement 2005 Land Yacht 30' MH

We recently purchased a 2005 Land Yacht 30' SL and found the original mag-mount CB antenna broken at the magnetic base. I tried to pull the new cable through the roof to the drivers overhead cabinet with the old cable with no luck. I cannot believe that AS would tie down this cable behind the headliner/cabinets etc, rather than let it free float for future replacements.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
PS I'm a Amateur Radio Operator and don't do much CBing these days but it may come in handy someday.

I believe that the cb antannae's were a post factory/ after market installation so you will probably need to do some cabinet removal. Keep us posted as to what you find. Thanks.

Thanks Woody! I will be digging in this next week to see why it won't pull through. I hate the thought of cabinet removal for this short distance between the radio and the antenna. I might try to fish it through before any serious cab work.

I found the path for the antenna coax from the driver's overhead to the roof. You have to remove the speaker left of the driver's overhead cabinet. This gives you a 4" hole to pull from for access. I had to cut the PL259 coax connector off the new antenna and tape to the old to pull from the roof to the cab. Also there was a wire that tangled around the coax when I first tried to pull. Take care!

I have a 1998 LY 30 and the antenna mount comes out the SIDE jest above the driver door. Antenna is on a mount made for this installation looks good and you don't punch a hole in the roof or move any cabinets the coax runs up the column to a space to the left of the drivers head then out to the Ant. mount.
Hope this helps.
