Buying a 30' gas land yacht

We are considering buying a 2005 30' gas land yacht. Any comments or tips would be appreciated.

While most of us here are Classic owners I'm sure someone with a LY will chime in soon. Welcome to the forums. Try the search feature on the top blue bar to learn way more than you ever thought possible about your desired model.
As with all the LY fiberglass models check everywhere for signs of leaks from roof and windows.
Good luck with your quest.

I too am looking at purchasing a 30 ft gas Land yacht, 2000 model. Anyone have any pro/con thoughts>? What should I look at for possible problems? I would like to go into this purchase with my eyes open. We currently have a 2002 25 ft Safari for sale or trade. Photos are available for viewing at http://picasaweb.google.com/jimmickl...afariSSTrailer

Did either of you who were looking at a 30ft LY buy it? If so, are you happy? If you did not buy it, would you mind telling why?

We looked at a 2000 30ft LY yesterday. Haven't decided to buy or not to buy.

Since we are looking at a LY, thanks for the tips about leaks.

Pat

We have decided to buy it. Have made the deal, but won't pick it up until about 12-1, when we get to Florida. Are currently finishing up with doctors here in Iowa. Where are you looking at one?

A very low mile LY popped up on eBay. Item #
250045694133Looks like it's still in the wrapper.
Nice 345's on eBay too... going cheap... if you like classics like I do.

We are scheduled to purchase and pick up a 2000 at Lazydays in about a week and a half. Anything special that I should look for and have them fix before I sign the final papers?

I would print out a checklist Take it with you and make sure everything works. It will take a couple of hours. They should give you a short warranty.Tires/batteries/price.Tires-if they haven't been replaced they need to be(5-6years good tread or not)Batteries (about 3 years)Price/I'm not a big fan of Lazy Days(although many are,I live about 30 miles from there)do alot of research on this.We really enjoy our Land Yacht, you will enjoy yours a lot more if you don't pay to much for it!!
