Battery Control Center

I have a 2002 30' Land Yacht and I beleive I maybe having problems with the isolator relay or the Bi-directonal isolator relay. Where are these components located on the motorhome?

Should be in or near the battery storage area????
All on the Clipper are located there.
Again, you manual is available on the Airstream site for download. It has all the schematics.

Your answer should be here.

Dave, I went to that site hoping to find such a document for my 2004 Land Yacht 30 ft (gas) but could not find it. Did I miss it? The document you referenced looks to be a very useful piece of information.

Section H of this manual should give you some ideas.

"Battery Control Center"

I have looked in the side bay and there is a battery control center. Would the bi-directional relay be in the box? I would think it is somewhere else.

I assume you are looking for the solenoid that connects the two battery banks for emergency start? All of the solenoids should be near the power source. ie the battery box.
If this is not what you are looking for, please expand the question with more detail. (ie what your bi_directional relay is expected to do, and what it is not doing now!)

I have found the solenoid, that is in the box. In the trouble shooting portion of the manual, it talks about bi-direction relay, which if I understand it correctly controls the solenoid. I find no mention of it anywhere else.

Ok, this is what I find.
It explains it quit well.
In my Clipper I use a SurePower 1315-200 Separator that does the same job.

Dave, I looked under the URL you referenced, but only found the service manual for the 2002. I was hoping to find a service manual for our 2004 30 ft. Land Yacht.

Thanks,

sam

Dave, thanks so much and a tip of my blue beret! The manual link allowed me to find the answer to a question I have had for a year or more.

I appologize for "stepping' on VAP's thread.
