Aux/Fog Lights ASLY2000

On My ASLY the Aux Headlight switch on dash panel only activates the two round lights when the headlights are activated. Is this normal? Or, are others able to activate the aux lights independently of the main headlights?
I would like to be able to use these aux lights as daytime running lights to be seen.

I have rewired mine to work independent of the headlight switch.

I left the master switch on the sidewall dash, but it is wired thru a floor mounted 'old style dimmer switch' which activates a 20A relay which allows power from the ignition circuit to the lamps through a 20A fuse. I installed an indicator lamp on the lower dash to remind me the drive lamps are on.

No worry of leaving the lamps on as they go off with the ignition.

This picture was taken as work progressed.
