Any idea what this hose is for?

Just bought this '03 Land Yacht 36' XC and looking in the basement compartments and comparing to the manual, I can not figure out what this hose is for in the waste drain lower compartment. This short white hose is attached to the bottom of what appears to be a tank, but there is no valve on either end of the hose. The compartment to the left of this one has the drains for the hot and cold low point and also drain for fresh water tank into the pump, so I really can't figure what this hose in the picture might be attached to? Any ideas are appreciated.

CWF & Lumatic, thanks for trying to help me, let's see if I can help you help me by attaching a pix to this reply. It's not the black tank flush as that connection is already there by factory and labled as such. Also the black tank is up higher in the basement compartment up against the floor of moho, while this white 3' hose is connected to a fitting on the back wall of the basement compartment down at the bottom of same.

It could be a " custom " modification

If it's attached to the bottom of a tank, it might be a drain. Maybe the previous owner camped where he could he could let grey water drain.

It's a black tank flush. After emptying the black tank, connect a water hose to that little white hose and let her run until it runs clean. Be sure to leave the valve open, the owner's manual says to leave it open to avoid damage to the level sensing unit.

If you've eliminated the black tank flush and the city water connection, the only thing left is the hot water tank drain (used when winterizing). At least, that's what it is on our 2001 LY XC360.

Think I got the photo attached finally

OK folks I think this time I finally got the photo attached. As you'll see in the photo (if I did it right!) this is not (I believe) the black tank flush as you can see that connection up in the far right top corner.

What I am asking about is the white hose that is connected down in the lower right corner (with no valve on either end of the hose)

Thanks everyone for your patience with this newbie

Mystery hose.

The hose in the photo had a male to female coupler on the outer end.
That means it's now configured to send water into whatever it goes into.
However it's not a Airstream part, maybe the PO was reinventing the Airstream here. Is it possible that the factory flush hose was bad inside the coach and this was an attempt fix it by putting it into the bottom of the tank to rinse the tank and flush it down the 4" drain hose?

That looks like a short drinking water safe hose connected to a male hose bib fitting attached to a wall. What is on the other side of the wall? Normal flow would be out of a male fitting like the one on that wall but someone has put an adapter on the hose as though they wanted to put water from a garden hose into that wall. You could hook up a hose and turn on the water and see where it gurgles at? I would look at what is on the other side of the fitting on the wall and also try feeding water into if it seemed appropriate. Leland

Thanks for all your input

Thanks to all for your input. I'm thinking it's EITHER a fresh water tank fill or a fresh water tank drain. I know it has nothing to do with the black tank as that tank (black in color) is mounted ABOVE this white wall and you can see the black tank drain in my pix and the black drain has to be at the BOTTOM of the black tank. On the other end (left side) of this white wall (presumbly a wall of the tank) is another drain, (I've attached this pix here) but this one actually has a valve on it.
And this hose I originally asked about does not have a valve on it so that is what confused me as well.
When I get it out of winter storage, I'll have to experiment with it before hitting the road.
Thanks again for all your help and input.

Herb, are you sure it is a hose? from your picture, it looks like a tv/satelite cable connection to me. but I'm just an old fart and my eyes are getting bad.

That white thing looks like a tether to hold the cap it's attached to.
