Air bags LY

I see air fittings just above the radiator - should air pressure be adjusted based on the ride or is there a set psi one should hone in on?

Airstream specs call for 55 psi in the front air bags.

The normal pressure is 90lbs. For late model(2001 -2006) LY MH"s I believe pre 2001's was around 60lbs.

Air Bag Pressure

My ASLY 2000 manual says 70 PSI. But that is no longer a problem as I have replaced the airbags & springs with the SS springs. She now rides 'nice' following alignment. Bags were leaking and a pain to keep to pressure. Had to replace front tires as well.

I believe Steve is referring to Henderson's Super Steer Coil Springs. I switched mine three years ago and have been very satisfied with the change.

Thanks, getting ready for the road, need to check pressure, should try to remember to do it when I check the tires. When they are low, steering feels like it is floating, shows up as drifting in lane even when the wind isn't blowing. I use 55 pounds.

My Workhorse manual says 90# for rv chassis and I've had a much smoother drive with this pressure. Also have Super Steer and and Steer Safe that were added by the orginal owner. The steer safe had loosened up & the coach was very "drifty" until my mechanic found & fixed it. The Banks product makes a big difference in performance though: no slowing up the little hills I've used so far, even with the toad.

The manual says 90lbs, but I have my '04 LY set at 70lbs, and it feels just about right.
