Air Bags In the front coil springs

I have a 2003 AS LY with Workhorse with 8.1 engine. The other day I checked both air bags. The RH side was 55 PSI the LH side 0 PSI. I serviced both to 60 PSI. The next day, and the next, the same thing. The LH side looses the air in about 5 minutes. I assume the LH side either has a hole in it or the line is leaking the air. What bothers me is the MH does not appear to lean or out of balance, and it rides great. This is not the way it should be if one bag is not inflated. I would appreciate your advice and thoughts.

Steve, our 84 310 motorhome also uses the airbags. I'm not sure how many miles we drove with one side deflated but probably quite a few. I didn't really notice much difference in the ride after I inflated it but not to long later I found that it had a leak. Our last trip to Branson I deflated the other side so we could make the trip. Other than a little rougher feeling through the steering wheel I didn't notice much else. I do know however that it will impact your front end alignment and your tires will probably start wearing more. I definitely plan on replacing both of ours before our next trip.

I never thought about front end alignment in the mix. I just aired up my leaking side again and less than 10 minutes later and it's out of air again. Looks like I will put two new bags on ahead of new tires. Thanks for the response and have a great trip.

Not to sound too dumb here, but I have a '95 LY diesel pusher and am not familiar with the airbags. Is this only on the gas front engine units? I've been under the front on numerous occasions and have never noticed this item. I suppose I could have overlooked this, but also no mention in owners manuel either.

Not sure about all models but the chasis with front coil springs have an air bag inside of each spring. All they do is make for a softer ride and you can run without them if need be. You can buy replacements at Camping World and they can be screwed into the bottom hole of the spring bracket. Hard work, but it can be done by hand.

I get to find out how hard sometime in the near future when I replace the ruptured ones on our 310. I'm going to reserve a whole weekend for the task and hope it takes a lot less time
