'98 P30 soft Brake Pedal

I have 1998 LY on a P30 chassis and it has a soft brake pedle, like it is not going to stop you. I have replaced the master and presure bleed the brakes no help. Pads are good just doesnt want to stop real good????

I would check the rubber brake lines next.

The higher your expectations the fewer your options.

Did you keep the reservoir full entire time and started at rr, lr, rf, left front, if you did, my next replacement would be like r carl, replace the rubber hydraulic lines. When you say pads are good, did you take off to look at surface? Oil or glaze would not be seen when measuring thickness from side.

The P30/32 weighs in at 16500#, so if you are expecting to stop on a dime -- forget it. At best the brakes are marginal, in my opinion. DaveFL suggests the proper sequence for bleeding and checking for contamination on rotors. Assume you used the DOT3 brake fluid and flushed the system when Master Cylinder was changed. I have speedbleeders installed on my coach, available from which makes the bleeding process a bit easier.

DOT3 is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture) and should be changed every 2 years with fresh fluid.
