32" TV install in my 1995 LY

TV install and mount over dinette. Might be a little too big but "bigger is better"! LOL

Was your old TV mounted up front? If so how hard was it to get new cable to that area and re-hook roof antenna? Bigger seems to be the new trend.

Very nice job! To answer the wiring question, there are a few of us who have done the same thing. There is a thread on it somewhere. Trident put up pictures and also info on how to do it.

The small "tube" TV is still in the dash and actually works. I want to remove it and make a little storage compartment out of it eventually. I've seen some posts showing some nice work. The new TV above the dinette is currently not connected to the antenna but I will be adding direct tv to it soon. Right now it's just being used for movies and the kids Xbox lol. It's on a full motion mount and can actually be turned all the way around and can be seen by the bedroom since the PO removed the back TV. I'm just doing a little at a time. New vinyl laminate oak floor, furniture etc. It's my first RV of any kind so I'm just having fun renovating. I still can't believe that it had green shag carpet throughout! Including the bathroom lol

If you check out the pics on my photo bucket it shows the cabinet I installed in place of the old TV in the dash. I was asking about your antenna because the cable on mine is very short and hard to get good access in ceiling for moving. Its nice you can move it around. Doing little improvements is what its all about, making the coach your own.

Thanks gloran It looks great. I appreciate the idea. I'm not a carpenter but I might try it anyway.

Hb,
What mount did you use? Was thinking of the same thing.

Dajen54,
Sorry for the delayed reply. I used a "sanus ASF110" mount from target. It's really well made and sturdy and has a great range of motion. It was pretty expensive in my opinion at about $60. After I installed it I came across a very similar mount at my local "Marshalls" for $25 unfortunately it was too late but it's something you may want to look into. Good luck!
