2005 30' S/O converter

My service material has no info on the converter - mine has stopped working . Any help as to what steps I should take would be appreciated. Thanks, Rolltop

I would start by locating where the unit is. After that it's Check input voltage, Check output voltage and verify fuses. Report back with what you find.

Mine is behind carpeted board in front of passenger's feet, hidden screws in the corners buried in carpet. Make sure your battery is connected, switch at door throws selenoid. Only thing my converter operated is the tv and it has an auto off when the ignition is on.

2995 converter

Converter on 2005 is located in the roadside compartment right behind the driver's door. You will see the fuse panel and behind that is the converter. (You will need knee pads for this task.) My thoughts only but it looks like a b*#@h to get out. Always struct me as strange that it would be stuck in a storage compartment with no air circulation. Let me know what you find as I have the same model.
good luck.

Thanks for reply, after finding the converter and assessing the location and my kneeling ability (artificial knees) as well as my lack of electrical knowledge I decided to take it to a local RV facility. I will report back with findings. Thanks again.

Ok, here is the story - converter checked out ok, problem seemed to be the power cord - replaced and charging problem seems to be fixed. Next problem was tire wear - alignment could not be done until several front end parts were replaced, done, big $. I now think I should address rear suspension, MO leans to driver side. Any experiences, ideas or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Rolltop
