I've heard the 26' called the sports car of moho's. How many miles? stored inside or out? lived in? If you can be satisfied it's never had leaks by cking for bubbled outer skin, inside rear corners; behind cabinets, front where cap meets sides & roof & all roof protrusions, then spend a couple of hundred bucks on an engine trans & chassis inspection at a local gm truck shop. Then grab it! Sounds like it would be perfect for you. Good luck.

The main issue is the Parking Brake. You can search this site for threads. Replace the "rotten switches" or replace the electric parking brake. Make at least an annual trip topside to examine all caulk joints. Remove and replace any bad caulk. Leaks can be bad. The engine in this motorhome is strong, and gets decent mileage. We got 9.25 MPG on a trip west in a 30 ft w/slide and towing a Toyota Corolla. My main complaint on the 26 is the corner bed, but for a single traveler, this should not be an issue. Make sure you drive it. Handling and "road manners" are different than a tow vehicle. I replaced the tires, balanced them, and replaced the leaking front air bags. Replacing these items made the handling of our 30 ft. acceptable.

Enjoy!

So, what did you end up getting? I am in a similar quest and am curious what you decided! Thanks.

Change of plan

Well, there was a change of plan, while I was getting quotes to have the carpet hauled out, and waiting for the dealership to give me the info I requested from the previous owner.... They sold it to someone else. At the time I thought this was crappy. They said to hold her I should make a deposit and close the contract in 7 days. I declined. My bad.

New plan.... bought new 4 door jeep, looked at and adore the new basecamp, getting the red rock one.
Veryyyyyy happy.

Wow, that certainly is a left turn! The Basecamp is pretty cool. I have decided to go to a non-Sprinter Class B (at least for the moment!). I am going to see on this weekend. I have to feel the interior since I am tall and need a high ceiling and sufficient space.
