Just wanted to mention that I found the most difficult part of changing to a larger single sink was to find one with dimensions that would fit from front to back and wasn't so deep that it couldn't be hooked up with the existing slope of drain. The replacement I used is a Kraus KBU 16, ordered online. If you're thinking of replacing your sink with the same size that you presently have it shouldn't be a problem. The stovetop & existing sink remove quite easily.

Looks good. Real nice looking Corian.

The single sink has the advantage of freeing up some counter space.

I'm curious as to how you shortened the oak doors each side of the new tv.
Did they come apart easily?

Shortening the old doors was my plan originally, but I have a friend who owns a cabinet shop locally and he said it was much easier & cheaper to have new doors built than try to alter the old ones. So the shorter doors are actually new. He also did the Corian for the table & countertop. You know that old saying...it's not what you know, it's who you know?

He's helped me out a lot with planning & ideas.

I've just bought a 2001 30' Lan Yacht that I think I'm going to love. It is in nice but not perfect shape. But the previous orginal owners had a problem with the Corian surface attached to the folding stove top cover. When using the back burners it messed up the Corian and it had to be replaced. What is suggested to stop it from doing so again. I only get to cook on road trips so suggestions from more experienced LY's would be gladly accepted.

Make sure it is in full open position, ours was damaged too, but I didn't fix it, waiting to see if it will be damaged more before doing anything with the corian. I did take the top apart straightened some of the metal slide mechanism so that it would work smoother also replaced missing part of the slide. This might have been the reason PO chef didn't put the top up to the right spot. They didn't use it much and had all problems fixed by RV technicians so probably nobody looked at it. When you find cheap source of replacement let us know.

How did you get the carpet out? Ours is a 2000 with carpet underneath all walls and cabinets. Nightmare!

Our unit one year older had it's carpet in the hall and LR, dinette area replaced by AS and they just cut it close to the cabinets and wall, not too neat but all attached items are still in place

I replaced the toilet room carpet with tile, I did take out the carpet beneath the commode.
Find a hook carpet cutter so that you can cut from above the carpet. a metal straight edge to keep a straight line and add 1/4 round to finish.
Good luck and remember to keep your fingers behind the cutting blade if you use a regular razor knife.

hi,
have a 2001 LY and doing some remodeling. can you give me more info on the cabinets replacement of the sofa. I removed the sofa, to install a medium dog kennel, and have about 30" for some type of cabinet and counter top. Also removed the oversized TV that was installed in the dash, and looking for ideals to reuse that space.
