If the transmission is the same everything will bolt up but you may have to have your driveshaft cut to the proper length. With the different wheel base you would be very lucky if the drive shaft was the same length. I believe you have a two piece drive shaft and the 36' will have a three piece drive shaft. A good drive shaft shop can fix you up with no problem.
If you happen to have an Allison transmission you are out of luck. I don't think Gearvendors makes an adapter for Allison. You can have a custom mount made to mount it in the drive shaft rather than on the back of the transmission but now you are talking a serious and expensive installation.
