Hi, Does anyone know what the big black box is with the little electrical box mounted on top of it is, It is located in the pull down door underneath the lp gas stove. Does it have anything to do with the Energenius converter. Also, our refrigerator will not cool, It is a dometic and even when we plug it directly into shore power, the light comes on but the fridge will not cool. Is there any fuses anywhere?

Thanks
ruth

Ruth,

The is usually a fuse inside the black control box that contains the 'board' that runs your fridge. This is located on the outside of he fridge, thru the exterior door. It should be on the left side of the back of the refer.

If this fuse is NOT blown, then you might have a control board (lower board) or eyebrow (upper board) issue and you should have an authorized Dometic service center check it out for you.

There is always the possibility that your cooling unit is shot, which is not a difficult replacement, but one that again, should be done by someone who knows what they are doing.

A proper diagnosis here is critical.

the refridgerator my need to be level to work properly.
is it a 3-way (propane/110v a.c./12v d.c.) if so does it
work in either of those modes? I remember back in the day
of old time servel fridges we often had to shake them up or
turn them over to get the bubbles out of the refridgerant lines..
