wood effect exterior trim

I need to replace the wood effect vynil trim on the waist band of our 310.

I did try searching the forums but no luck, does anyone know where I can buy some. I need to replace all round.

Pick another style as that decal pattern has not been available from Airstream for many years.

Sorry.

Many owners chose to paint that area metallic charcoal.

There is woodgrain vinyl available on eBay. You might have to cut to fit.

I did discover that the contact at -bpeter7460@aol.com is no longer available - so it looks like it is a rethink on design/paint or other.

I am convinced it's the way to go now - but that finish.... it looks too good to be true, certainly wouldn't want top get that dirty from English roads!!!

Looking more closely is the Aluminium a painted finish?

Why not try one of the sign shops that do full vinyl wraps on vehicles ,I'll bet some of them could make anything you want.

Tried the vinyl suppliers but they haven't got anything as thin as the original, nor similar in dimensions.
Unless something does come up I may be going for the paint job as showing on Fred's site, that looks stunning - I hope the photos don't lie!

It is just a case of finding someone to do it... not easy around here. I have had several paint jobs done in the past, all by different paint shops, on anything from cars to RV's and none of them that good - certainly not good enough for my Baby!

We had the brown woodgrain on ours when we got it. It was faded and peeling so I removed it with intentions of painting it.
Apparently Airstream discovered that by scuffing the aluminum prior to applying the vinyl made it stick better. The entire area under mine had been seriously scuffed with some kind of grinder. Don't be surprised if you find the same under yours--not a large deal but it does add some steps to the paint prep process.

I bought some woodgrain from Randy @ North Dallas RV about 2 months ago. It seems the original application was 2 parts. Black & then the wood grain. I have actually spray painted the black background and then will eventually apply the wood grain vinyl. However, I do like the look of the metallic charcoal. Probably why I haven't applied the vinyl yet!
