What length Classic Motorhome do you own?

I know we have been checking vin numbers but I thought we might have a casual count thru a poll. Classics including Argosy's. Thanks

Alan, thanks for including the 28's in this. The VIN listing didn't let us be as long as we are..... I had to register as a 27'....hmmm now that I check on it perhaps that was elsewhere.... I'm often confused.

What length is your classic?

How about putting a 37 foot length for those of us (however few in number) who have the 1989 370LE? I went to check off 37 feet only to discover that length had been left off .

Alan
Are there any pictures of the 29 inch classic motor home? I would really like to see the interior or the person who drives it. How many people does it hold?
Sorry, I enjoy typos.

the nice thing about the very rare 290 was the rear bedroom side split bath like the 310. I also really like the oak cabinetry that was available in the 290 and the larger models.
Other than the Argosy a rear bedroom under 30' was unusual. The 280s are almost all rear bath mid bedroom with either twins or single with opposing dresser/closets.
270 had rear bath and all in the front room - living and sleeping area.

Question 370le

OK, come on guys. Are Nick Danger and I the only people with 370LEs? Even Camping world found one somewhere last year to remodel the interior (however badly the messed up the bedroom). I know there weren't very many, but they have to be somewhere. I've heard that several are owned by movie stars and corporations, but I doubt they read the forum.

I also heard that either Tom Cruise or Tom Hanks has one, but I can't confirm that. Julia Roberts is another name that is mentioned as an owner of the 370. Rumor also has it that several corporations use them for corporate entertainment. Wonder who does their Airstream/Gillig/Ford/ Chevrolet coordinating? I'm still trying to figure out if the rear axle gears are Ford or Gillig....

Must have fixed that trailer wiring to be in such a humorous mood. Now, just where are all the rest of the 370s. Perhaps you and I have the only 2 left that are still on the road .

1994 36 Classic

Truly the next gen of MH for AS (at the time).

It has the shape of the Landyacht (The nose ) but has the rounded appeal of the Classic.

AS changed the shape and a major overhaul of the front end in 92- 93 (I believe). The last model I have seen is a 96' and there are even a few diesel units out there.

The units have all the bells and whistles like leather interior, Corian countertops, convection oven, Hydraulic lifts, cypher lock on entry door, tinted windows, oak cabinets, rear queen bed and many more.

I love it!

Smiley,

I've seen a few of these units personally, and more pictues on this Forum site. Do you have one? I'm a little confused because your picture gallery shows a trailer. Did you move to a MoHo, or do you have both? Also, what is the front made of? Is it aluminum or perhaps fiberglass? The interior pictures I've seen look very much like my 1989 370LE - almost identical. I suspect A/S did some mechanical changes to the drive trains? Or were they mostly C 30 Cheverolets with 454 gas, other than the few diesels?

Looks like Rutger Hauer now has a trailer. His web site shows a vintage AS, I have the photo of his 370, I will scan it in if I can't come up with the link. A 360 ( gas 454) just sold on Ebay for a giveaway price, it was owned by T Mobile, and then someone else who had it repo'd. The lucky buyer (if the mechanicals are all ok) got one that looked pretty good, and would be easily brought back to a higher level.

Changes

The front end is all aluminum.

The interior is similar with the exception of the dash and the Television.

The Classic MH that I have does not have all of those little in dash indicators lined up at the top.
My television is mounted forward of the dog house and recessed in the dash.
My Lift controls are on the passenger side of the dash.
My rear view camera display is dash mounted left of the steering wheel.

My dash is very deep to the windshield and covered with white leather.

As for pictures, I have not posted any of my new Coach. The pictures in my photo section is of the several trailers I have had and I believe there may even be a picture of my Landyacht MH.

Drive train isChevy P-30 454 gasser
I am on my sixth Airstream, I have had:
71 Overlander
79 Sovereign
83 Excella
2001 Bambi
1990 Landyacht MH
1994 Classic MH
