We left Dandridge, TN and towed a 1993 Jeep Wrangler [on a tow dolly] to Ft. Myer Beach at Christmas. We averaged 6 to 6.5 MPG. I was running around 70 MPH. I have a carb 454 CI. 1987 345 Air Stream. The only thing I don't like is the engine runs about 220 degrees. Sure does does heat up your hot water tank. Plenty of hot water when you reach your destination.

It don't seem to matter what the ambient temperature is, my "silver bullet' will get to 220 sooner or later. That way you don't need to flip the switch on the hot water tank for the first two showers.
