"Lucas, Prince of Darkness", ah yes. My mom's 1970 Volvo had Lucas electrics.
We're heading out tomorrow and on the way through Marin, picking up a surprise for my other half, a Fermob table and two chairs for the Globetrotter, a Christmas gift that arrives in March. These are the actual bistro tables, from France (by slow boat), durable, folding and comfy... fingers crossed.

Good stuff Globie!
This thread has been so popular with the classic MH owners and trailer peeps alike, PeterH started a trailer version over here...

No needs for the Ooops at all, glad you enjoy posting here too, and it is encouraged as it all feeds our inner klepto!
Oh...
Local find...
Saw an Ad on CL for a 25g freshwater tank and pump for $50...
I was in that area, to visit the Junkyard, so stopped in..
A nice thick polyproplene tank and a working Sureflo pump!
The tank is clean and has the level sensors in!
The guy was moving house the next day....
A little bartering, and it was all mine for $25..
Needs some new fittings, and a good scrub.
Tested the pump and it works perfectly, and is identical to the one already in the MH, so I will tuck it away for a spare.
Then on to the Junkyard i went...
Grubbing about under a truck, I spotted a gem...
A Thomas piston air compressor!
I knew what it was because my GF has a RangeRover with air suspension and this is the "Upgrade Pump of choice"!
12v, yet puts out about 1.3CFM, and 120psi!
$10, and it was mine...
So here was my days haul...
I think it will be going on the AS paired with a small tank to remote fill those front airbags!

That's the same compressor I have for the Argosy. Got it off of eBay about five years ago. One of these days I'll even install it

Well, like you, now at least I have options Brad!
After much searching and coming up blank, it seems MEK is no longer available in CA...
It is readily available in Az tho...
Guess I will doing all my ABS repairs in Az then!

Steve, glad you found some MEK! I guess I'm lucky in that I can drive 10 miles to the local paint store and buy it by the gallon. Who knows how many gallons I'll need to finish the Argosy so you might to buy stock in Sherwin Williams
As for what I got for my Argosy today, a nice new 200 amp battery isolator. Now if only I had batteries to go with it, or a place put the batteries for that matter

As some of you may have guessed I do have a bit of a lazy side. Well todays project is a result of that lazyness. First I acquired some small parts, so I would not have to exert myself too much.
What you see are a few push on plastic fittings including two check valves, plastic tubing and a small regulator. The regulator was mounted on the firewall under the front access panel.
As you can see it is set at the proper 55 psi. for the front air bags. I used the small "Y" to tap into the 1/8" air line that goes to my dash gauge to feed the regulator. From the regulator it goes through a "T" and the check valves and then to "T's" in the inflation lines to each front air bag.
Now not only do I not have to manually check and air up the bags every few days because they are inflated automatically, but whenever I open the access panel to check the oil I can see the bag pressure on the gauge. Talk about lazy.

They look nice Dean!
Where ya gonna mount them?
Here is my share for the day...
The drivers seat in the MH is ok, but lacked good support, and the cushion is too short..
I knew that a nice high end seat from an SUV would work, I was just waiting to see what would work.
Yesterday was the day... I was at my favorite pick-and-pull Junkyard getting parts for the GF's Range Rover... and there they were!
One pair of Range Rover HSE seats, in black leather... 10 way electric power with heat and lumbar!
Dont let the dust and dirt fool ya... The leather is in great shape, and the drivers seat just needs a little restitch on the squab... a job I already did on the GF's.
They can be recolored to suit when I decide on my interior color.
I know these are comfortable and supportive having put 600 miles on in one day. The mounting points are all level and I think I can just weld up some steel to adapt to the pedistal mount and keep the swivel mount.
$40 each was a no brainer!

Gee never thought about that... I need to replace my 2 seats and I happen to have 2 RR HSE in the yard we don't drive... one has dark brown interior and the other has medium green with beige piping... maybe I'll completely retire them and use the seating... Thanks for the idea

Steve, the seats look great! I do have one comment however. There is only one arm rest per seat. I'm not sure how much that will bother you but I've found that for me it's a lot more comfortable driving the 310 when both arm rests are present. I've tried with just one from time to time (mainly because I forget to put the arm rest back down after getting into the seat!) but have found that it's more tiring not having both. Anyway, just something to think about.
Now for what I got today
I had the local fab shop bend up some metal pieces for me. The long pieces of aluminum are going to be mounting brackets for the two 10" radiator cooling fans that I'm adding. The rectangular aluminum plate is a base that I'm going to be bolting the new DC power converter to to keep it raised off the floor a little.
The long 1" x 2" tubing is for some small repairs on some of the framework inside the front wheel wells that supports the cab structure.
The last U shaped piece of steel is a 3" section that I cut from the 24" section that I had custom bent. I'm not saying what it's for just yet. I'm experimenting with an idea and if it works I'll post the information, if it doesn't work I'll just sweep it under the carpet and we'll pretend I never brought it up!
Brad

Brad,
I agree about the armrest issue, and here is the plan....
Most seat frames are the same, left and right... my guess is that on the other side of each frame I will find a bolt hole for an armrest... I will pull the leather up and check!
I will get some Leatherique restoration balm on them and post some pictures on my thread! I think I have a wiring diagram in hand now too!

For my size I would only need the inside arm rests as the door panel will have the other side like normal in a Range Rover so I still think it would work without the added expense adding one to the outside arm ( of course a little deceiving as pictures have chairs reversed showing arms to outside instead of inside as they fit)... Also the width of the seats are a little smaller than a set of captain seats so putting another arm rest on may cramp your style a bit

We hope you'll bring these to Casini: we
vacationed in France a few years ago and a refreshed connection would be nice, may bring some brie to help that.

After a lot of searching I finally located replacement vacuum actuators for the heater/evaporator box for my Arogsy.
As you can see the new ones are nice and shiny where the old ones are rusty
Two of the actuators are located inside of the evaporator box at the bottom. Considering how much work I've gone through to get access those two actuators I didn't want to reassemble using the old ones.
