Maybe you should get a 20' Argosy motorhome to pull your 34' trailer

After all, I still have a partial interior for a 1979 28' or 24' that I used to furnish my little cabin in the backyard.
Maybe I need to start another thread: What did you get for your Airstream Cabin today ...

Not to sure how many people could play along with that one. Fortunately I couldn't

I am planning a patch that runs off the storage door to the fwd line of rivets, and maybe putting a external shower in that area... and a doggie D ring for leashes.. We have dogs and kids that will need rinsing off after beach days. The fact that the hot and cold water pipes run right behind there makes it a wash... lol!

Oh, I see, the square one will cover both round openings. I only have seen the round individual ones.

So...what's the problem?
That's got to be the ugliest hack jog I've seen on one these rigs.
Do you need a section of skin?

Actually the front does look a little better in a sick sort of way
Give me some measurements of the areas you need to patch and I'll see what I've got.

Good link.
If your old antenna mount is like the others that I've seen it will probably need about an 8" square section of skin to patch. I'll try and remember to bring a piece along when I meet Richard in the near future (along with those 7' pieces of cabinet trim!).

Lately I've been putting the finishing touches on the engine build and was looking at the heads thinking it was about time to install the temperature sensor. I'm pretty sure the earliest Argosy motorhomes had the temperature sensor in the thermostat housing which meant the head ports would have been plugged. This got me to thinking which location would actually be the best for reading engine temps. Well one thing led to another I decided to install a sensor in all three locations
It took me a while but I finally found a 3-position toggle switch that gives me a separate contact closure in each of the three positions. Every 3-position toggle switch that I could find previously only had contact closures on the right or left positions and not the center position. With three sensors I needed a contact closure in the center position. My plan is to have the toggle switch mounted so you flip it left, center or right. The left position will read the temperature of the left cylinder head, the center position will read the thermostat housing and the right position will read the right cylinder head temperature.
I'm sure Keyair will appreciate this next part. Of all things the switch is made by Lucas
I think it will be interesting to see just how much the temperatures vary from each sensor. I realize there will be some inaccuracies due to the sensors themselves. What I hope is that I will be able to get a feel for each of the readings so if something does happen I'll have some data to work from.
This might turn out to be a worthless modification but to me it will be interesting.
Brad

It could have been helpful on my fathers truck. When he got back from a trip a year ago he complained about it not running right and though it was the plugs. As I was changing the plugs when I got to the second side of the engine I found out the plug wires were cracked from being over heated because one of the cats was partly clogged and made that side of the engine much hotter. Well the exhaust manifold was hotter but the heat would have gone through the aluminum head.

Interesting. So maybe it's not such a bad idea after all.
That works for me!

Sorry.
What if I add that it was a once in 80,000 mile thing and it wouldn't help if you only have 1 catalytic converter?

Wazbro, don't let Keyair bully you into changing your story. Your first post gave the pertinent details and besides it helps justify my spending all this money on the Argosy

LOL... Lucas... Prince of Darkness...
Put those Vent Covers on....
Front...
Rear..
I have 3 of these that came as part of the package...
They completely seal the vent, and will fit over the mesh units too.
Maybe good if you have snowdrifts???
Here in CA, I have no need for them, so if anyone wants them, PM me!

Hi Steve. How does the plastic cover attach? It might be good for me at Burning Man!

Yes indeed!
In the package there is a bolt/nut and a spring thing, which ... I assume that you have to drill a small hole in the cover where you need it and it hooks on the exhaust vent.
Yours if you want one, two or all three!
