You guys are a bad influence Only done one led so far, the porch lite, but it's only a matter of time before everything else gets led'd. Truth is I'm skint till the end of the month, just as well.

Thanks keyair for the guide, great info.

Yup Andy, we can all blame Keyair for keeping us all on our toes when it comes to LED's. About to pull the rear lamp cans and bring them inside for a good cleaning and painting, following all of Keyairs 'instructions'. Of course, my LED's haven't arrived yet. They REALLY must be on the slow boat 'from' China. Almost a month now. Oh well, I'll be ready for them when they do arrive.
Thanks, Derek

Home depot said their minimum for a quartz install was $600. Haven't tried anywhere else yet but will ramp up the search when there's means to act.
Here's the template that'll be used.

Hopefully soon I can make a legitimate posting to 'What did you get for your motorhome today'

Andy, I was just about to email you the location of the NuTone, and now I have a great photo to go by instead! That's some great looking wood edge trim there. Are you going to try and use that? Not sure that it would work with granite though......
Thanks, Derek

Had some cash gifted by my parents with the specific instruction to spend it on the Airstream...

Found the gauge on Ebay, and its exactly the same as the ones in the Dash of my '84.
Like this...

The is no name on the gauge, or on the paperwork beyond Corona, Ca.

I like the black tape. I wonder how many of us have tape on our dashes?

Yes, from time to time when I know it's the sender or the gauge.

Yes, black tape...
I know the washer fluid reservour is toast, so one of the lights is for that, the coolant level is another... but why is the "Water in fuel" Lamp on? I thought they only had that option on the Diesels!
I am gonna try to fix it, and if no good, will pull the bulb out.. a more "Elegent" solution...

Water in Fuel gauge was one for diesels, but when yer building so many dashes, it's cheaper to just put the gauge in ALL dashes(contrary to our cherished belief, they actually DID make more school buses than Airstream mohos...!!!???). My gauge tells me it's got water even when the tank is dry...I also get the low coolant gauge warning on an intermittent basis, but have learned to ignore it if the temp gauge is ok...so many gauges, so little knowledge...mine is a heavy burden to bare...uhm...bear...now if I could only gauge the ensuing responses...

Ok... more LED experiments for Keyair's Lab...

The thing on the right is a 1156 to G4 bulb adapter... the LED panel on the left is a 24 element G4 Warm White bulb...

This is how they go...

Lit..

15W Solar Panel

Found a good deal on this from Home Depot. Been wanting a solar panel and didn't spend too many $ on it, like it best because I can add more if I want too.
