Wow! That's a find, save your old parts, I might need some, though I think mine has broken at the same spot.

checked before bid
I checked it visually before bidding and it looked the same Mine is all good except the outer pull part of the handle. I got it for 57 dollars plus shipping . I thought I stole it. and it arrived yesterday even had 2 screws and key with it. I just need to remove the one in my door and figure how to change the cases out. Wont throw anything away. Want to get it changed out tomorrow Kay

Mine broke in the same way as yours. The pot metal just fatigues. You can see the dimples in the one off eBay.
I purchased a stainless steel replacement handle from AirForums member John Burkey. It worked out great!

Let us know how you do, because a new change-out is pricey. My inside latch is trashed, so maybe we can make a deal.

mike maybe we can the price is why I have used a screwdriver to open the latch for 3 years. it was use a screwdriver and go somewhere or get a new lock and stay home. I can see having to give it up just a few years away but I plan to use it as long as I can. I haunt these pages and do so enjoy the things you folks upgrade. my son in law helps with the things I cant do when he has time but I want to do as much as I can for myself. I didnt know about the stainless steel replacements. Kay

Where, I ask , did John get the stainless handle? I think my problem is inside on the latching mechanism, but I'm curious.

Bought some heat-reflective/noise insulating material
and installed it on the inside of the doghouse.
3M spray contact-cement and screws/big washers.
...then bought some very thick ( around 1/2" ) , very heavy
rubber-material from Lowes that I put on the
doghouse with contact-cement
..that will act as sound-deadening
and keep things from sliding around.
Also bought the knickknack trays from Lowes.

Here's a link to one of John's posts. You can PM him. If you look at the next post, there is a photo of the handle I got from him installed.

Mine has obviously been replaced, and aside from the crease in the surround plate, it works fine...
Has a double lock too...
Can someone ID it?

No more overheating. Drove over 1600 miles to Arkansas and back to GA in 116 degree weather. It never got over 115 on the dash temp Gage. I did invest in a inferred thermometer
And it was dead on. As I figured out the whole time it was the fan clutch the whole time. I will find out what the temp of the AC is for you. Not quite sure if I understand last question. Ha sorry.

Hi,
Wondering, replacing the bearings and brakes, how often do you do this? Know that since you're full-timing in the Airstream, you probably put quite a few miles on your moho.
Preventative maintenance, or something you could tell needed to be done soon?
Thanks, Derek

I found these little guys.
They were about $6 each, are LED, about 7 1/2" long and run on 3 watch batteries. Thay have several functions, flashlight, glow stick, and blinker but they are great as glow sticks for backing into a space in the dark. Irene is like the taxi way ground crew at LAX.
I tried a link but can't get it to work. Try wwwlifegearcompany.com
Cheers, Dan

Since I could not even remember when we did bearings, I decided since the disks and rotors were off, let's just renew the bearings, too. Was a good idea, too, since we found one of the inner bearings was getting ready to fail.
