I need new. How much were they? I thought about the ones I have seen at truck stops. Didn't know if they would fit.

They are aluminum, the outer finish is polished. I had the person in the store verify with the service shop to make sure these are the correct ones for my motorhome. Once I got home and did some measuring I noticed that these are 5 1/8" diameter vs. 5 1/4" diameter of my old ones and the closed ends do not exactly match my existing ones. Of course the shape doesn't matter since I purchased enough to replace all of them. I will now have to see if they will fit. The airstream part number is 452260-01 and they were $23.15 each.

I installed the Rear Wheel inserts today. Since they were smaller in diameter I had to flatten the 45 degree angle in the ring that holds the inserts to the wheel. Even though I did this the ID of the ring was still larger than the OD of the Wheel centers. I had to make sure that the wheel insert was centered on the wheel when I tightened the lug nuts. If I had to do this over again I probably would have investigated plating my old inserts and the ring since they would center on the wheel and be a perfect fit.

Yeah, especially if anyone hears the words that come out of my mouth during these times.

In my experience fuel leaks have great potential for becoming exciting.

If you found one line leak. There are many to follow. Replace all. You may want to look into an additive for the diesel. Something to look into. With the new low sulfur diesel.

I've done it myself, and its almost harder to describe how to do it, than to actually do it. Here's a description that I downloaded from the forum. This is courtesy of a rivet master.

"cockpit windows fuzzy channel replacement"

"while at the Florida rally i spent a few bucks on parts for the silver weenie. fuzzy channel was one of the items and i did it today. i was dreading that job but was i surprised . it was a breeze. Brett and i discussed how to do it .
open window, remove lock (don't drop the screws they are hard to find) and shove window all the way forward.then take a putty knife and pry enough of the old fuzzy channel out so you can pull out exposed channel cut and dispose. the channel under the window will be removed after you push the window to a almost closed position be careful as the window will come out and you don't want to break it.
remove window, install the fuzzy channel and cut to fit tight. this needs to be one piece. remove the fuzzy channel to the top track and hang out side, out of the way. put window in top first and sit the bottom of the window in the fuzzy channel. push the window forward and push fuzzy channel in the top channel. this will require some moving the window back and forth to get the channel to where you can get a pair of pliers on and pull it thru the track. install lock and spray some silicone lube in the fuzzy channel and slide back a forth a few times . walla your done. first window took 25 minutes second 15 minutes. those little screws are hard to find.."

PSIClops XL-180

PSIClops XL-180.

Used to make sure you have the same pressures in two tires.

Nicely made. less than $25 shipped on eBay.

There are other models, but you want the XL-180.

Paul

what I bought for my 345LE today

Well, since I've had to park my Airstream out on the street until the weekend, with it having just over 40 gallons of gasoline in the tank, and no way to lock that gasoline away from thieves, I purchased a locking gas cap today. Does anyone know if it matters if gas cap is vented or not? Old cap was not vented and WHEW! does that thing let out some fumes when you open it up.
Thanks, Derek
