I've bought CitriStrip at Home Depot. In the paint department. Stuff REALLy works. Some spots require a second coat of the stuff, but have found out that instead of washing off coated area with water hose, got out the pressure washer and it really cleans the stuff off.

So, that's going to eat the clearcoat off? I've got some stains I'd really like to get rid off, but I'm not sure I want to strip the whole coach!

Yup! Right down to bare metal.

After stripping the hood I used a double action air sander with a hook pad and Scotchbrite pad. It cleaned up real nice and left a very uniform finish.

More Mother's Syn Wax and a whole bunch of elbow grease!

I mentioned earlier that this is the first chance I've had to get a good coat of wax on it since we bought it last August. They say you find all the imperfections the first time you wax a vehicle. I very pleased with the few imperfections and condition of the finish. It's polishing up real nice for a plastic coated AS.

Maybe the book is for Boats, but I've read through this book already, and it's relevant to just about everything we deal with. Can't wait to see what I'm missing with the Chevrolet Motor Home Chassis Guide.

Got an air line check valve from Inland for our rear airbag suspension. Ever since we bought our 310, the air bags have gone flat overnight. I have had to calculate the anticipated angle change into my campsite selection, and the compressor has to run for a long time on startup in the morning.

Andy at Inland was very helpful in answering a couple of emails when I could not find an existing valve to replace.

Went in to an old school neighborhood hardware store near our daughter's house looking for adapters to plumb the valve into my air lines. A guy who was well into his eighties or beyond sized the situation up and immediately pulled the three pieces that I needed out of a wall full of hundreds of little cubbyholes. What a treat.

Installed the valve, aired it up, and it is holding air now. The compressor didn't come on at all when I turned the key this morning.

Just fired up the new Pioneer 8400 system. Worked out great and sounds increadible. Took longer than planned but there is a certain satisfaction in doing the job right.

I rebuilt the center console to remove the VCR and moved the drawere up to make room for the sub. The 5 ch amp is on the shelf that the TV used to set on. Upgrades will be sattelite radio and GPS. I does include a backup camera but I wont hook that up until we get back from the trip.

It interfaces to the ipad and iphone and runs (some) iphone apps.

I have plenty of room under the unit to add options and connectors. The new LED TV will hang from the overhead cabinets and hang on the bedroom wall for transit.

Got another last minute project done today. Had to pull the bulkhead to securely fasten the quick attach bracket. The bracket allows it to slide back and forth about 6 inches. I pulled that old TV cabinet and moved the CO2 detector to the bulkhead. I added 12 volt and 120 volt outlets so I can either run directly of through an inverter as it is in the picture. Had to run romex behind the shower and up tie in under the dinette. All worked out pretty well outher than taking more time that planned. Pretty good picture off the antenna.

Hope to hit the road tomorrow AM.

Dakota; thanks for the bedroom tv photos. I pulled my crt tv out of the cabinet, was thinking of putting a flat panel on the front of the cabinet, but that looks like a probable head banger. Your on-the-wall mount will work fine. There was a set of audio "in" cables into the tv but I have no idea where they start: no similar connections by the front tv. Also have to upgrade the speaker, but will do that after the tv is purchased and mounted.

The photo is the front tv upgrade I did, have a dvd player and a wireless U-Verse receiver for home use in the cabinet above.

Did pay less than the MH, so the MH didn't become the accessory:-) Hopefully I can find all the extras I need on line and not go over. From reading about others, If I don't put the baseplate on myself it will be more. Car is put together with plastic rivets, so I will have to number them and use a checklist to make sure they are all back in place when I am done. Son in law broke 3 on a Ford Fusion and the whole bumper assembly was loose. Minimalist engineering.

When I was looking under the dash I spotted a box that I thought strange...
Research taught me it was the control box for a Uniden PC-22 CB radio.
This model had all the controls and display on the mic/handset... and mine was missing.
Searches online in the last year or so for the mic or parts had come up blank...

Then, last week one popped up on Ebay...
I snapped it up... even tho it said used, I thought $25 was a steal!

It arrived today... I am so happy!
Its not used at all...
No sign of ever being used or mounted. All the OEM brackets and screws are there... No instructions tho.
SO Happy, here it is!
