Thanks, Derek

Actually been kinda sick... .
Flushing hot and cold and sleeping lots for last few days. Wierd.
I wish it would just go away.
Yesterday, Layed under the Jeep, struggled with 3 seized exhaust bolts, all of which snapped off... and realized I didnt have the energy to lift my arms above my head... just layed there like a stranded fish for about half an hour kinda panting... took a hot bath and slept for 3 hours.

Will let you know as soon as I have done it.
Waiting for parts to arrive...

Sorry about being sick. Get your rest, monsoon rains here till the weekend, so no rush. Did get started on polishing my bumpers today. WOW! Also, started stripping some of the clearcoat as well. About to head out and grab the last of the curtains to wash, and hopefully remove the stains!

take note on the stains as there may be a leak causing them, this monsoon weather is a great time to check. my first airstream leaked but thankfully a.s.#2, the 345 doesn't

I've got to order some Vulkem from Vintage Trailer Supply. Even if I find the leaks, with nothing to seal, it's kinda useless. Thought I found some gray caulking at Home Depot, but couldn't find amongst all of the small print whether it was safe for aluminum. Try, Try again.
Thanks, Derek

Vulkem and Parbond rule. Use MEK or Acetone to prime the area.

Double win today!

Was outwalking the dogs this morning and I spot a newly moved in Neighbor having carpet installed...
That house had only just be recarpeted 3 months ago, to ready it for sale!
A quick chat with the new owner, and I had enough of the high quality "used" carpet to redo my Airstream!
Not perfect, but color is nice, and the price is right!

Then my much anticipated box arrived....

Inside... 2 brand new Velvac 2025 Mirrors!

List price is $286 each...
I Paid $135 for the pair...

WOW! Steve, those are sweet. I'll get pix of my outer mirror lights posted if you need an idea what they look like and where they're located.

VERRY nice mirrors, I have that brand, also, but without the lights, good quality stuff. Just remember which is left and right when you install them.

Thanks Mike, sounds like the voice of experience!

I did go and try them visually, and they look HUGE compared with the junk that is on there now!
Could not hold them up AND take a pic alone...
I would love to see a pic of yours and some input on postioning, because I have some latitude, as the foot is HUGE compared with the OEM foot.
Also, as the skin is not square to the ground, they lean in, so I will need to make a block, or something...

Steve, I'm posting pix of the lights, but it looks as if the area where they would be installed is fairly obvious looking at your pix. But, the pix also show where mine are located in relation to the front drivers window. If needed, I'll get more detailed photos tomorrow for you.
Thanks, Derek
