Couldn't help myself. REALLY think there should be a thread that's titled "What did you buy on Ebay for your Motorhome today" Was at Camping World yesterday, saw this great coffee maker, but $85.00??? Got home, did some internet shopping, even looked at this on the B&D website, still got a better deal, even with shipping, on Ebay. Can't wait to get this all hooked up.

I bought a 145-amp alternator to be for house only so the Duramax can run without house loads. I bought it on eBay for $200, only bidder ($800 value), however the box looked like it had been mailed to China and back and used in a bowling championship. The alternator was beat up pretty badly, cover was broken, power post bent etc. My question is: I have fixed it with the help of JB Weld and I feel confident that it will not be a danger to the Airstream. Is offering $100 instead of the $200 an insult?
The fact that he did not take out insurance on the package and charged $50 for ground shipping should be mentioned and we spoke with the Post Master here in Key West and they told us there was nothing they could do.

Got another new AC belt along with a new compressor. that is now a complete new dash AC system. Wow and works great. We went to NC past weekend its about 4 hrs away. I just can't believe what a dream it is to drive. Until generator went out 2 hrs before destination. No rear AC for the dogs. After auto zone and all that I gave up. When we got to the campground mixed a drink went back over it again and as I first thought. Just a fuse. Worked perfect whole way home.

Rowan,

I don't think you should be worried about hurting anyone's feelings. If you were the only bidder on something that was supposed to be intact, would ANYONE have bid ANYTHING on an electrical component described as "damaged"?? I doubt it. It seems completely reasonable to me to ask for some price adjustment. Good luck.

Nicely made. less than $25 shipped on eBay.

There are other models, but you want the XL-180.

Paul

My Psiclops just arrived today. WHAT A GREAT PIECE OF GEAR!!
For $25.00, this could be the deal of the century. Thanks for the heads up!

Today I got a Bill of Sale for my MH.

I am pleased to report that it went to a young couple from the Seattle area. I am confident that they will treat her appropriately and use her often with their 4-year old son! Hopefully we will see them get active here soon.

I am likely to hang around here even if I get something other than an Airsteam as I enjoy the company.

Paul

PS: I kept the PSIClops

Well, found out last evening, that I have something 'pulling' power from engine battery. So, brand new battery for Airstream, and a kill switch until I figure out what's pulling power from engine battery. Anyone have some hints on where to look first? Thanks, Derek

No sign of the Overheating?
How cold was the A/C blowing?
If you get a minute, I would love to know what the temp differencial between ambient and vent was... it would be a target for me to aim for!

Found this lady on Ebay that made the rubber stamps for Airstream travel trailers. Contacted her about doing my Airstream motorhome as an rubber stamp. After viewing her drawing, I decided to go ahead and purchase. Thought it was really nice! Derek

Wow! That's a find, save your old parts, I might need some, though I think mine has broken at the same spot.

checked before bid

I checked it visually before bidding and it looked the same Mine is all good except the outer pull part of the handle. I got it for 57 dollars plus shipping . I thought I stole it. and it arrived yesterday even had 2 screws and key with it. I just need to remove the one in my door and figure how to change the cases out. Wont throw anything away. Want to get it changed out tomorrow Kay
