The things you don't notice

Didn't realize that the one Thin Lite above the kitchen area wasn't in my 'supplies' until after the deal was done. Amazing the amount of light they produce, and how dark it is without.
Maybe one day, I'll convert them all to LED's, but in the meantime, there is light!

Steve, which way are 'we' looking at your ductwork? Towards read of the Airstream? Can't quite figure it out. You've got the 345 with the rear bed on the streetside, right?
Thanks, Derek

I like the Thin-Lites too, but as soon as all of the tires are replaced on the Airstream, I'm going to start replacing, as money allows, the florescent bulbs with LED's. Figure less drain on the house batteries, for those times when I want to Boondock.
Thanks, Derek

LOL, Derek!
FYI...
Stood INSIDEthe bed frame of the streetside queen, facing forward...
My Rear Furnace is streetside, forward of the bed, but rearward of the toilet..
Hope that makes sense!

Ok Steve,
I've got it all figured out now. Only been in a streetside bed 345 once, and that was the 'money-pit' in Georgia. Almost makes me wonder if that guy ever sold it. Betcha if someone came and offered 7K to 10K, depending on how deep your wallet is, that fella would take it.....

SITLL there???!!! I'm sure that someone will come by and decide to bring it to it's former glory! I've read somewhere here on the forum, worst thing you can do to an Airstream motorhome is NOT use it, and when I looked at it 6 months ago, he said it had already been 2 years since he had camped in it. It's solid, but have a feeling that just about everything mechanical is going to be in need of repair or replacement, just to get it home.....

nothing wrong with money-pits, I just couldn't make myself spend what the current owner was asking for this 345 in Georgia this past April. And within a few months of walking away from deal in Georgia, the 345LE I now own, appeared, and instead of a 5 to 6 hour drive home with my 'new' Airstream, I had a 3.5 MILE drive home. Still got that 'stupid-grin' every time I walk past my 'beast' too!, 4 weeks later......

thank goodness I was able to park my Airstream here at my home. 'just' fit, this way it's close enough that I can work on it anytime I want! Plus, I get to see my dream Airstream anytime, any part of the day. Know my friends and folks are getting tired of me, cuz this is all I talk about lately, lol

the singularity

just spent another $1,000 on reupholstering the sofa, dinette and assorted pieces such as the material next to the entertainment center and the pieces that end the overhead cabinets.

need to replace the airbags (because the compressor is always running and sucking the life out of the alternator) so may as well get a new compressor and air tank while at it. getting an open neutral when running the ac's so need to chase wires next. looking at removing all the extras in the kitchen like the nutone mixer blender etc and replacing counter top with corian or something fancier, and with matching dining room table too.
new furnace and catalytic heater then onto all the mechanical stuff. the list never ends, so does the grin each time i take her out for the weekly spin

money pit - love affair, same difference

Actually been kinda sick... .
Flushing hot and cold and sleeping lots for last few days. Wierd.
I wish it would just go away.
Yesterday, Layed under the Jeep, struggled with 3 seized exhaust bolts, all of which snapped off... and realized I didnt have the energy to lift my arms above my head... just layed there like a stranded fish for about half an hour kinda panting... took a hot bath and slept for 3 hours.

Will let you know as soon as I have done it.
Waiting for parts to arrive...
