Remote Fridge/Freezer Thermometers

Bought 'em last week. Had them in the kitchen fridge and freezer all week to test the reception.

Moved the receiver all over the kitchen and it seemed to work well.

Next I plan to try them out in the MH. So far, I'm kind of excited to put them to use.

(No, the temp's in my fridge and freezer are not 74 and not the same.) lol

Hello Wayneskid, take a look at the photo in post 225. They are made by Chaney. Google wireless thermometer and chaney. I'm sure you'll find them.

I tried them out over a 3 day camping trip last weekend. They worked great. The digital readout display has magnets on the back, so I stuck it right on the freezer door. So far, we are very pleased!

When I get a chance, I'll try to find who I ordered them from and pass it along.

Freezer/Fridge Thermometers in action

Here is a photo of my newest toy in action. The thermometers are working well. The readouts fluctuate when the doors are opened and closed.

Purchased them online at AmbientWeather.com

Before purchasing, I read several reviews. Some thought they were good, some thought they were cr_p.

I took a chance anyways, because they were the only ones I could find that were specifically for freezer and fridge.

And the remote monitor is compact and sticks to the door with magnets, (just like our AS fridge magnet!)

Are the sending units weather proof, would be nice to have one outside for ambient temp. and mount the display on the dashboard.

Got these L.E.D. Lights for the side marker lights. They are bright! I just need to figure out how to convert the front turn signal under the grill to L.E.D. I do have an idea I will try, But these in the pic are exact fit. You do have to cut and splice wire ,but the look like original.

No, they are not, but they seem to handle the cool temps well.

It's been a lot of work but here is the new to us, used patio awning on the Hagarstream. We bought 5 awnings from another member here and went over last week and removed them from his 34' Excella 1000. I had to cut a foot off of it to fit it on the floor of our coach. Took the rear screen out and loaded everything through the back window. Had to tweak the arms a bit and cut some more off the tube to get everything to fit right. Got everything mounted and functioning then drove over to a friend who has a upholstery sewing machine and took the awning off again to sew up the edge of the sunbrella we had to cut off. Mounted everything again and here you see the finished product. We forgot the camera so this is what it looked like when we got home. Too tired so another day we'll get a picture of it open. After playing with this thing it's amazing how fast I can get an awning on and off a coach.

Also you might notice the new to us, used Alcoa wheels. Just got them mounted and haven't had a chance to polish them up yet.

Cheers, Dan

Thanks Bob, we are trying to get on the road but I keep coming across these things I can't live without. Finding this stuff a couple of months ago would have been a lot easier on my tired old body. If all goes well we will hit the highway Thursday.

Thanks AirRowan. I do have an extra awning but Mike Leary wants it. I will have to do some cutting and fitting and at this point I don't know exactly what I'm going to use. Right now we are heading out of town so it will all be on hold until we get back. For now at least we have a patio awning for the trip.

Cheers, Dan
