The standard setup from Airstream has springs that are not matched to the load on the front end so air bags are added as a supplemental aid to provide the correct spring rate.

The SuperSteer springs have a rate that is matched to the load on the front end once Airstream finished building the motorhome on top of the chassis. When you install the new springs, the airbags are deleted and you never have to worry about replacing them or checking the pressure in them.

Weigh your front end and then talk to SuperSteer to get the correct model. If you get a set that is too highly rated, your front end will sit too high.

They have them rated at up to 4300, 4400-4900, 5000-5300, 5400-5900, and 6000 lbs plus.

Do a search for a spring/suspension shop that specializes in Fire Dept rigs.
They'll know the upgrade springs for the P-30, you'll need no air bags after a change-out.

One of the air bags is shot. I know it has been replaced in the past. Looking forward not having to deal with them!

Hagarstream's new fanny pack

A little extra storage comes in handy sometimes.

Actually it's a crush zone like on the back of highway workers trucks.

I'm sorry, did someone provide a link to the anti-sway kit already? Is that the same as our P-30s?

Finished the MaxxFan install today. Had to remove the remains of an old TV antenna and patch the hole first. Other than too much time spent scrapping old Vulcum the install was pretty easy. I like the low profile and the ability to have it open while it's raining.

Cheers, Dan

On these sway bar brakets...I would like to know how they stand up to use after a few trips.
I did this to a Suburban many years ago, to help handling.
Larger bar, poly bushings etc.
The brakets could not handle the force, and tore off near the bolts.
Made some much thicker ones that are working good.... but I was not impressed with the ones that came in kit.
