My Ex told me "Men have to major flaws"
I piped up quickly ""Yeah, I know, EVERYTHING we SAY, and EVERYTHING we DO!".

Guilty as charged.

I have one in my "box O parts"....

[QUOTE=bkahler;1732948]Charly I've been watching for several years and the tach was the last gauge that I couldn't find new at a reasonable price. I say reasonable because I already have a used tach from the 345 I dismantled.

A shiny new tach will look SO much better

Brad

Brad- In case you haven't tried already go here: Home Page 704-985-0171 , 800 462 7635

If their website says NLA be sure to call them anyway and they will be sure you get what you're looking for if they have it.

Make that 3..... I got one to have just in case. Didn't even know there were designed for either gas or diesel...

Something can't be right since when do I order the correct part that turns out to be the wrong part except for folks like me who have a cummins....

Bill, I have talked to Custom Instrument Panels before when I was looking for sending units. There are tachs on ebay that would work I've just avoided them because I didn't want to pay their asking price. Someday I might break down and buy one but I have the one from the 345 and I have a new one that is similar in style if worst comes to worst.

Thanks!

Brad

Been looking for a washer bottle/pump for a while to replace my original one that is toast.
Finally found one that l liked last week, and it arrived yesterday.
Its about 11" tall, and thick walled construction. I bet it holds close to a gallon...

Couldn't say no at $17.99 shipped.
Only issue I have is I will have to make a little platform to mount it, and the pump has a electrical connector I will need to figure out.

Here on ebay.

It's been a while since I mentioned any new purchases for my Argosy.

Below are the highlights from the last 6 months or so:

* Bunches and bunches of electrical components
* C400 Contessa wet bath basin
* C403L Dometic wet bath toilet
* Shower/wet bath floor pan
* Dodge Caravan Stow-N-Go seats
* 6-way power seat pedestals & controls
* NOS Keeler door latch assembly
* Windshield wiper arms and blades
* Variouis Teleflex gauges for the dash
* ACDelco fan clutch
* LED H4 style headlight bulbs
* H4 style headlight housings
* Jensen VX7012 stereo
* Backup cameras to go with the Jensen stereo
* OEM style fuel tank and sending unit
* High pressure electric fuel pump
* 454 2" TBI fuel system complete with harness and computer
* Electronic distributor that is PCM controlled
* Wide band O2 sensor and monitor
* Electronic fuel pressure gauge
* 4L80e transmission rebuilt
* Centramatics front and rear (Thanks Peter!)
* Gibson supeflow SFT stainless muffler
* Rear leaf springs and associated parts
* Steering damper
* Reproduction front valance (Thanks Martin!)
* NOS rear bumper (Thanks Martin!)
* ION Alloy aluminum wheels
* And tons of smaller odds and ends like bolts, vulkem, paint, etc

There are still a lot of things to buy such as a sink/stove combo unit, all of the interior cabinets and pretty much everything else it will take to finish out the interior.

I can guarantee that rebuilding a motorhome pretty much from scratch is not a cheap proposition

its amazing how much you spend on the smaller odds and ends. I am making a real effort to keep track of everything I spend and once you tally it up it gets scary. My 310 currently stands at $19,844.67 incl the purchase price and associated Taxes etc. This of course does not include my labor.
I figure at right around 25k, it will be at the point I like to see it; mechanically sound and reliable (new engine, new trans, new brakes, new suspension and new tires) and my choice of interior layout.

Current buy: new speedometer driven gear to correct speedo readings. My switch to metric sized tires resulted in a 6 mph error in speed readings.
