If that is the original latch, I would go ahead and replace it. It is rather easy to do and only cost me $70 when I did mine.

I'd replace, i know if I found the parts and tried to do it myself it would never work right.

Handle Print

Here is a link to one of our threads with a print so you can have a machine shop, you or a friend make one. I would make it from stainless steel so that you could polish it up nice without the cost of plating.

Or if your lucky, check out some local RV shops, ours had a complete used unit in great shape for $15.

Just curious, did someone try to break in? That looks like a pretty thick chunk of metal.

Thank you for these infos and web sites. I need handle ( it was like this when I bought the excella ) and the doorlatch too because one of the little "corner" is broken .
Problem: I am in France ( you know; the country of "no-go-zone" by sky-news, hahahahaha) and the us shops don't want to ship to europa. So, I am going to look for a uk shop...(?)

You bet bigbidule, I did not know they were that hard to find when I bought it

You might want to try VTS about shipping to your country. Looks like they might already or will work with you.
