univolt died, now what?

I think the univolt in my 24' MH died. I was under the impression that the best thing to do was leave the MH plugged in and the univolt would maintain a charge at all times. Over the last 2 years it seems that I have overcharged 2 batteries and killed them. It have found by reading this site that the old univolt was never very good for maintaining the batteries for extended times. It started making a loud humming noise and I am afraid to leave it plugged in. So my question is what powersupply are other MH owners using and what has their experience been.?

Yeah, they don't last forever…sounds like it's time to upgrade to a new converter.

Replace it with the current type Airstream is using.

Make sure you save the fuse panel, as you will need it for the new converter.

Saves you money.
