Tire Balancing

Anyone use Beads to balance their tires. Is it a good idea anything you don't like about them.

Howdy. Some tire Manuf. say 'No'... and the reasons differ.

I would 'balance' normally then get a set of dynamic balancers to compensate for the variance..
Like these Tire Balancers, Tire Balancing, Wheel Balancer and Wheel Balancing from Centramatic

I have had good luck with a bubble balancer with car and trailer tires but the MO has 19.5 to big or I would go for it. The wheels and old tires I have on the MO have glue on weights one of the wheel has like a twelve pack on one. Looks bad on a nice Alcoa wheel.
Time for new tires soon.

Any rotating mass needs to be balanced !

I have the tires spin balanced and on the Airstream I also added the Centramatics.

The latest balancers have a road force function also. This is great for a tire that has some built in irregularities.

I've been using Dyna-beads in my moho for years with no problem.

I had the tire dealer put bead packs (break apart 1st time you drive) in the 6 new Michelin 22.5 tires on our Dutchstar pusher in early 2012. Then that fall we traded it on our Shiny Pete! Figures............

Anyhow, the combination of 6 new XRVs and the beads made for a very smooth ride for a very reasonable cost (the beads, not the tires, it still pains me to think about that bill).

Hope this helps!

Often wondered how the beads react to contact patch deflection as the tire rolls down the highway.
