Could you maybe post a picture of Buoy hooked up to your 310? Yes, I think it would make a cute picture but my real reason for asking is I have a little red smart that I hope to tow behind my 270 diesel someday.

I've been thinking that I might need a sign in the back window of the smart that reads: "Sorry I'm so slow but I'm pushing as hard as I can!" Remember the old days when people put big wind up keys on the back of there VWs? Small cars are so much fun.... just sold my Z3 to the son-in-law.
Tony,

Here are the only photos we have:

Is that the WBCCI Mardi Gras rally? If so you can count me in. Hopefully Felicia will be able to get off and go as well!

Thanks for the pix

Thanks for the neat pictures of the smarts. Very interesting. Since the key idea is spoken for I'll have to come up with something else.

Remember "zip when it moves, bop when it stops, whirr when it stood still."?

Happy Thanksgiving!

DW and I are blessed to have my son and his family nearby.
They came over about 1130 hours and he helped me pickup my mother from the facility. It's a blessing to have my family around me during this joyous holiday,

We started prepping the meal yesterday and we ate until we were all stuffed.

Tradition at our household is to bring out the Christmas decorations and tree after the meal...

"A hunting we will go..."

Daw and our friends Dudley and Patty visited several parks today for future trips:

Wall Doxey State Park, Holly Springs MS

Small park, Great Lake, short travel time from Memphis. Sites are shorter then newer parks (looks like it was built in the 1930's). Should accommodate our 31 foot Classics, longer coaches may be problematic. We will utilize this park for quick weekend getaways...

Trace State Park, Belden MS
(Sorry no photo)
Beautiful park, lakeside sites, definitely on our list.

Campground at Barnes Crossing, Tupalo MS
We thought it would be good overnight campground. Gravel sites, in midtown Tupalo.

Happy Hunting!

Quick response

I will make this short. I typed a response this morning and the computer ate it when I hit the wrong key!

Felicia and I have been to Wall Doxey, it is a close, nice little place. Not to elaborate, but a good place to get away from it all.

If you go, you HAVE to go to Phillips Grocery!

Phillips Grocery - Holly Springs, MS
Phillips Grocery - Holly Springs, MS

It is an old style grocery with decent hamburgs. It is a real hoot to sit on the porch and eat your burgers and feel like you are back in the 40's!

The week-end we were there they were have a civil war re-enactment and there were confederate and union soldiers enjoying a burger together!

Dave - Thank you!

Dave,

Thank you, for the info!

Will definitely add Phillips Grocery to our list of places to try...out of curiosity, it is the home of the "infamous slug-burger"?

The newest member of our Memphis Airstream clan shared Wall Doxey Halloween was pretty festive as well...similar to our experiences at Village Creek.

We heard a rumor that the Halloween Festival at Tishomingo State Park was a "hoot" as well.

Our next foray exploring Campgrounds will include Tishomingo, Tombigbee and Piney Grove COE (near New Site, MS)

Still have to explore Mouse Tail Landing State Park (Linden, TN)

Any other suggestions?

Hmmm Very Interesting...

Oldest grandson's birthday yesterday. Family came over for dinner, he requested BBQ Ribs with all the "fixins". DW baked him his favorite birthday chocolate chip cookie (about the size of a large pizza).

We all had fun and after a couple hours of cleanup I decide to start Penny as she hasn't been run since before Christmas. It had rained in the afternoon and the temperature had dropped considerably. I attempted to unlock the door and the key couldn't enter the cylinder. After several attempts, had to step back and think about this one...

Retrieved the BBQ Grill lighter, heated the lock cylinder for a few seconds and success!

Penny started right up and I exercised all the systems for about 30 minutes.

Just being in the coach made me want to hit the road...unfortunately DW is not a fan of cold weather and informed me she wouldn't be ready for a trip until April???

Have several projects to complete inside over the next 2 months but the road is calling...

"Blow Baby Blow"

Weather warmed up to 40 degrees Saturday, so I decided to start the coach and exercise all the systems. Started the Moho and got the generator running. While the furnace and A/C heat strips were warming the interior, decided to repair a few "nits"...

Kitchen Vent Exhaust Fan hasn't worked since purchasing Penny earlier this year. Removed hood screen and trim (8 Phillips screws) and shoved a flashlight into the opening (yep tired old eyes). Appears the cable that opens the exterior panel was severely kinked and prevented the micro switch from closing. Loosened the cable adjustment screw, removed the cable and straightened the wire. Re-installed the cable, adjusted the wire and the fan is now working!

Cheers
😄
