Not much done on the 310, its just too darn hot. But just in time for 4th of July, we completed this ceiling in the oldest Theater west of the Mississippi (allegedly). First time it has been redone in 102 Years. The restoration involved stretching new Canvas (a tightly woven cheesecloth), installing a fiber lining paper, Painting it 3 times with dead flat blue to match the original and gilding close to 200 stars with 24k Gold.
Happy 4th, everyone!

Peter, that is some of the most interesting and beautiful work Ive ever seen. How in the world did you get into that line of work? I saw the last set of photos also, the beamed ceiling where I think you were working with silver. Such a specialty. Really cool. Your company must have an awfully extensive scaffolding set up.

Thanks Mike and everyone,
I have been doing historical restoration for over 30 years. In addition, we do a lot cabinet/wood finishes (as you saw in the ebony/silver room).
The scaffolding was put up by an Osha certified company. The cost was staggering, it could have paid for one of those gutted Motorhomes for sale..
I am currently working on a sample for the lower red panels (see picture) in the Theater.
This painted red marble with gold inlay is what I would like to do on the panels and around the stage

One would think, replacing the carpet on the engine cover would be a quick and easy thing to do. But no, took me 3 hours to pull hundreds of staples and another 2 hours to cut, laminate and staple the new carpet.

4. Extreme rust on frame and outriggers
5. Big Dent on rear center panel
6. Propane gas lines disconnected and hanging loose under the trailer
7. Banana wraps hanging loose in several places
8. very messy waterlines
9. Curtains dry rotted and falling apart
10. Plastic interior endcaps cracked in all directions
11. Wooden cabinet doors falling apart or extremely modified
12. kitchen formica top falling apart
13. Stove rusty and scratched up.
14. I never got to check out any of the plumbing or electrical systems.
Amazingly enough, all pictures posted and/or requested by me were strategically taken to hide the issues.

Ha!
I remember the replace of carpet etc š. in Bangles!
I allways are a bit "100%", but once i saw, HOW badly Airstream placed placed the carpet, i was very satisfied with 85%...!
I installed a VERY thick shag carpet (US-Mohawk!), this is far easier than a thin one!Click image for larger version

We combined shag carpet with chalk-white "oak-laminated wood". We choosed "Hotel quality".

flip the switch fix

I have been working on this generator for some time and it just seemed to have gotten worse.
I changed oil and filters, replaced the plugs and set the points.
So, I finally geared myself up to the task of removing the carb, to rebuild or replace it. While I was looking to see what to remove to get the carburetor out I noticed that the alt switch was set to 5000. ( I live at 600)
Man, did I feel stupid. It runs like a charm now.
But, I don't mind feeling stupid as a trade-off to finally fix something that has been bugging me for a long time.
And my excuse is that the previous owner commented that the generator just hasn't been running right since he bought that bad tank of Gas somewhere in FL.
