Maybe some of you remember, this cute "mussel-trawler" port was one of the first "stop overs", as we picked up her after shipping to Europe (Amsterdam!)

By end of July, we take our anual holyday, many nice Bangles pics to wait for!!!

Hey Peter,
yes, it's "fully" drivable! It has a 4cyl. gas engine with 1,9litres, it has 58 horsepower, 3 speed manual gearbox. V-max is "about" 75km/h. There is NO power steering, NO power brake, NO nothing...!
While it has no valid "T‹V", we move the bus by trailer to any market then bust drive it to our spot. We own a few of these "pig noses" one is a "Filca-France" fifth wheeler! They were made in ghe early 60ties, just a "handfull". a Citroen HY pick up "slides" under a sort of trailer, than conect to the chassis and you have the appearance of a 3 axle motorhome. But once arriving on a campground, you disconect the "cabin" and can drive away with the pick up! A total crazy, but ingenious construction! Just 2 or 3 are left (worldwide!!!), we bought it in south France, about 8 years ago. (Restoration project!) The cabin is close to perfect inside and outside, 100% original, the pick up is hardly attacked by rust...! We bought last year a second pick-up (same year!!!), will try to make 1 "good" from 2 "poors".
Or i will sell all of them....! The "Airstream-Bug" is actually stronger, than the CitroŽn Virus...!
I will check, i am sure, we have pictures of this rig archieved!

Yet another remarkable booth setup Marcus. You really have built an interesting business. This one based on the H-van looks like a smaller set up but oh so nicely done, with the olive wood facia etc.

Thanks for including the afterwork 2 am reality shots. It all seems so romantic, but I'm sure makes for some long days on your feet.

Citroen really went on a tear with the panel bodied vehicles, the 2CV. Then the Charicterful H-van WOW!
The Top Gear show did an episode featuring the boys doing up an H-van. Including installing an upgraded modern engine and transmission. Might be an episode worth watching since you mention this amazing sounding camper unit you have. Got to share some pics of that rig when you can.

And thanks again Marcus for the fun look into what fellow Aluminuminitus sufferers In Europe are up to.

Citroen virus, too funny!

Cheers Richard

While i have too many projects, we decided to sell it, or "swop" for something other, we can use without too much time-invest.
Maybe a small Airstream, Argosy or "what ever". I have all documents in hand and will happily ship it to the next port for export. It's a true vintage RV, absolute original and very hard to find. Cutroen HY parts are available and very affordable!
Maybe somebody here in the forum has ab idea about.
Happy Airstreaming!!!!
