It looks like a home made windshield washer reservoir. Trace the hose and see where it leads.

Clearly it was a Flux Capacitor.

Tells us when you find windshields, how much and where available.
Ours are OK, just fear when need new ones.

If the hose routes down to the radiator then it's a mister to aid in engine cooling.

Although as klattu suggest, flux capacitor would be more appropriate

You guys... Lol.
Looks like the coolant overflow/expansion bottle to me! Mine was not that shape, but similarly disintegrated!
If it is a Flux Capacitor, I think it will take Tap forward to when he gets his Rivet Master status very quickly!

That's an odd one. Expansion tank looks to be below in the 1st picture. The white canister. You can see the overflow line coming from the radiator neck that heads down there. Leads me to believe its a windshield wiper fluid reservoir. However, that is one SERIOUS orange hose up top to be used for washer fluid. And I have no idea why a PO would install double overflow tanks. Nothing there really makes sense.. Curious to see how this one ends up!

The windshield washer reservoir is shown just above and to the right of coolant reservoir. You can see the little pump on top of it.

I'm still betting on it being a radiator mister tank

Here are two other similar questions that may shed additional light.

Two other cracked tanks in front:

On the left (while facing it):

And on the right (probably the windshield wiper fluid tank):

Another oddity from the pictures, look at the long shaft that is protruding out of the blower motor on the left. Looks like the motor was replaced with one that was meant to have a double squirrel cage, one on either side of the motor.

I am guessing that is some kind of water injection system and that the big hose coming off it leads to a vacuum connection on the carb or manifold. Purely a guess however!

The cracked tank nearest the center is the radiator overflow and the smaller one toward the drivers side is the windshield washer reservoir.

Hi guys, I'm excited, I'm moving forward with replacement glass! In the past week I've been talking with Andy at Inland RV, he's great, and this week I'm ordering both replacement windshields and the rubber gasket from him.

I also already ordered the driverside window on eBay.

Getting the Aluminum Falcon sealed up with no more gaping holes is my number one priority, so as to keep out critters and moisture. Then I'll move on to getting it started, tested and tuned up. I did buy a replacement starter already, so I'm excited about that.

My how my life has changed, I never thought I'd be excited about a starter. Hehe!

I can't wait to have a clean, working, and moving machine!
