A few of you might remember me replacing the slides and sealing the roadside slide-out last year. I thought the MEK/ABS slurry would work, but I still had numerous pinhole leaks that added up. I had a tube of Vulkem ready to throw away, so I cleaned the drip channel with MEK, rough sanded, cleaned again and coated the channel with Vulkem. We've had heavy rain up here, and I checked it every day, no leaks. By the way the Rust Oleum "Bed liner" is junk for the interior, I'm going to bite the bullet and use POR-15.

I agree, that channel up close to the skin is the key to a leak free drawer.
Nice job!

The spray on Bedliner is junk, I agree... way too thin.
Herculiner is the business tho, but I am thinking I want a smoother finish on the battery tray so am looking at overcoating it.

Mike, did you add the drip channel or is it stock? I need to do something similar (some day). I sure wish I had the pull out bins though!

The drip channel was stock. but poorly designed. The pull-out has a gusset at the middle outside, but the rear is open, nice for camera tripods, etc. Suprised that all the coaches did not come with the big pull-outs; watch your toes if you pull it out too fast!
