Tach repair

Has anyone had any luck finding someone to repair one of our Teleflex tachometers? Mine just went wacky yesterday. I spoke to Dennis at Teleflex, and he said they may be able to just sell me the "guts" of the unit. This would be fine with me since the face and bezel of mine is like new.
Thanks, Rob

I was able to have my speedometer repaired by the local speedo guy.

You might check these folks: http://www.speedometershop.com/

Rob,
Might be worth checking the tach wire from the distributor. I had some trouble with mine "bouncing" and it turned out to be a bad connecter installed by the PO.

In the event that you cannot get it repaired you might look here: http://www.custominstrumentpanels.com/newpage2.htm

They also have custom dashes for Airstreams: http://www.custominstrumentpanels.com/airstream.htm

The guys in CA are great, used them a few years ago. They are the only folks on the planet who even wanted to work on the Alfa speedo. Cheap! Cheap! Cheap!

Thanks guys. I have talked to the people at CIS. I bought an air pressure guage from them, and just ordered a spedo with the trip odo. (They only have 1 more spedo left BTW)
I will check the wires again, but for now I will have to just live with the tach the way it is. We leave for Daytona in 2 weeks!
I am going to pull the instrument panel out when we get back to install the air guage and spedo, so I can pull the tach then.
Thanks, Rob

Steven,

Wow! That top picture on their link made me think I was looking at my 370 at first :-). On second glance I realized it was a 345, but just as pretty. Of course they all are....
