I've got my 345 at a storage place. It's been there for a month. What do Ineed to do to maintain it while parked there?

I would suggest a solar battery charger or maintainer. Something to keep the batteries from going completely dead while it's parked.

Is it parked on a paved pad? Or at least good gravel? If it's on grass or dirt, then find out if you can place something under the tires for parking. Even 3/4 inch treated plywood is better on your tires than parking on dirt. It'll help keep the beastie from sinking into the dirt.

Some tire protection would be good as well. Spray them down with some tire protectant or cover them. Especially if they sit in the sun.

If stored outside, anyplace ? a good wash down every 2 to 4 weeks sure does help with the overall exterior condition and maintenance.

Make sure you don't have mice very destructive critters.Start mh and generator every couple of weeks.

It is on gravel. I will go and start it this weekend and cover the tires.

If you run the generator or the drive train it is a good idea to run it/them long enough that they come up to full operating temperature. This is usually accomplished by driving several miles. This helps drive out any condensation from the internals and exhaust systems.

The other benefit is that you work the brakes, suspension and other systems too, and you can swing by the local drive-in for a burger, fries and a shake while you're out.

mothballs in a small mesh bag, hung on the sides of the engine will help discourage the wire-eating beasties...if you can't go for a drive, at least move the unit forward or backward to alter the surface contact of the tires..flip the battery disconnect switches to OFF, as there is usually residual draw, and the control panel on the fridge and the master control panel over the stove are drains...

I flip off the battery disconnect and hook up a Battery Minder to keep the charge up.

Where are you storing in AZ and how much per month/length. May want to move mine to AZ so I can use it without coming and going in the snow!

I store my trailer in a facility in El Mirage which is a little of Phoenix. All the covered spots are 12x40 and cost around $125 per month. The facility has no power for the sites, but they do have a dump station. It is very secure and has a key entry system at the gate. They do have some uncovered spots, but I have no idea what they cost.

I drove it up to my local mechanic, filled the tires, drove back, ran the generator for a few minutes, turned off the batteries and covered the tires!

I am storing it at Storage Max in Scottsdale. $85/month for 34.5'. Lowered my insurance $41/month because it is in storage.

I needed to add back in the whole insurance policy yesterday. Turns out in Arizona, if it doesn't have full coverage they cancel your registration.

As long as it's running, pull it forward then bcak into the parking spot if possoble. Keep from getting flat spot on tires if it will be parked a long time. Don't forget about antifreeze for the plumbing.

When winterizing the Airstream, it's good to blow out the water lines with compressed air. I lucked out and discovered this special winterize fitting at http://winterizemanufacturing.com/. It worked better than anyting I've used in the past. All usual disclaimers apply.
