A couple of installed pics
Here are a couple of closeups of the steer-safe on the '87 345.
They were on it when I bought it - guess they work 'cause I have absolutely no steering or wandering issues at all.
Curb side on left - Driver's side on right.

Is this that device where you can get up and get a beverage or make a sandwich? Cause I heard that someone did that and got hurt.

I think you have this confused with autopilot....

Exactly. I think the correct terminonlogy is "inflating" the autopilot.

It has been my experience that pilots are already terribly "over inflated"!!!

Steer Safe
I installed the Steer Safe setup on a 1985, 28' Winnebago MH after several white-knuckle trips. Prior thereto, I had completely gone over the suspension system, including new shocks, replacing the OEM steering damper, front end alignment and new tie rod ends. Everything was A-1. After installing the Steer Safe, the difference was day and night! I could honestly go down the road with a cup of coffee in my hand, steering with my index finger and thumb! The "cup of coffee" was the whole driving force behind spending the bucks for the Steer Safe! I don't think that you'll be disappointed - but make sure that you get the installation just right. I had to take over and direct the GM mechanic who was doing my installation as he was reluctant to read the instructions!
