Solar Panels on A 1983 31' Classic

My 31' Classic has two flex solar panels that were installed by PO. They are tied into the two 12v coach batteries at this time and was wondering if it would hurt to tie the chassis start battery into the other two batteries to maintain the charge on the battery with some jumpers. I am no solar guru for sure and am asking for a little help with this. Not sure what size the panels are but they keep my coach batteries charged. Thanks

No reason it would hurt anything that I can think of
Just don't forget to remove the jumpers when taking off on a trip

Magnet is right, it definitely should not hurt anything, I've been in the same situation before and I had no issues.

Instead of using a jumper you could put a battery disconnect switch between the two batteries so you could just close the switch when you wanted to charge via solar or open the switch when you're ready to travel.

I use a couple of these battery disconnect switches in my Argosy.

Thanks everybody, I have a disconnect switch on my start battery due to it draining down over time and a theft deterrent in my area. That's why I was wondering if a jumper and now a disconnect switch in the system would help keep my battery from draining down and not damaging stuff.
