Slouch on the couch

The sofa in Zeppelin has a 12V motor and drive which causes it to extend into a flat bed or retract from that position into a sofa. The switch is in the armrest behind the driver's seat. The mechanism is telling me it needs lubrication. Before I cause a biggger problem--Has anyone had these sofas apart? How is it disassembled?

Best,

Rob

I got under the sofa today. When the bed is laid flat, you simply raise the front edge and brace at a 45 degree angle (which is all it will rise). you can then lubricate the motor, the screw, the collar which rides on the screw, and the hinges and rollers. Be careful not to inadvertently kick the brace while you have parts of your anatomy between the bed and the storage drawer under the bed. Never mind.

Rob, good to know you figured out how to perform this service, it seems to be a rare option, as you got no response when you first asked.
Is your above statement the voice of experience?
