I am going to Airstream Factory in Ohio tomorrow to get our sort of new seats installed in the cockpit. I got them off Craigslist and they are newer than ours by probably 20 years or so, off white leather, and have shoulder belts. While I would have liked to have kept the Flexsteel ones, the shoulder belts are important to me. Anyway, the factory will be removing our two caramel colored leather front seats, made by Flexsteel and original to the motorhome, so they are 27 years old. They have been sat in for about 78,000 miles--at least the driver's side has been, so they have had at least
1500 hours of sitting in them. For that age and amount of butt time, they look pretty good. I would not sell them to anyone but am more than willing to donate if anyone is interested. All you'd have to do is let me know and then call Chris at Airstream and ask him to hold onto them for you. He graciously held onto our Craigslist seats until we could get down there--the guy we bought them from was only 15 minutes from there and it didn't make sense for us to drive roundtrip 6 hours to get them, only to return at a later date to have them installed. The seats we bought are (sadly) not Flexsteel but say Airstream on the armrests where you would normally see the Flexsteel name. I think they will look fine, but more importantly, be safer.
Anyway, please let me know if you'd like the front seats. If I get a taker, I'll post that, if not, I'll just have the shop dispose of them.
Thanks,
