Mike,

I hope you don't think I was referring to your recent issue with your motor

I was actually referring to the fact my Argosy doesn't have a motor installed right now. I'm real sorry to hear about what happened with yours, hopefully it will not be as bad as it sounds.

Brad

I was just kidding, trying to keep some levity in a dark time. No problem.

I consider the moving part is important, but I have been in situations that have made it a 17,000 pound albatross...being towed to the side of the road without power steering is pretty doggone difficult...getting out of the middle of a 2 lane mountain highway at night, in 20 degree temps is a bit of a trial...having a toad is a lifesaver...I'm fairly certain that my time is coming, at which point I will weep, and part it out...I'm not sure that I will be lucky enough to find another one...hang in there, Mike...we're all pulling for you...

Since this thread has already gone pretty far afield I gotta throw this in: a story about a guy who drove his '91 Chevy pickup one million miles on the original motor:

Wisconsin Man Drives Millionth Mile in '91 Chevy : NPR

If he can get a million, maybe 150k isn't too much to ask from my 454.

We're at 158, and I sincerely hope that you are correct...you know, a few more hundred miles would make my life easier...I'm not trying to do anything but get down the road...fairly simple concept...somewhat expensive, sometimes, but we didn't buy these beasts for economy...we bought them because we wanted them...m
