Reworked Front end

After many hours working with the MEC, fiberglass, painting and a GM rebuilt engine, Its about ready to hit the road again. Just working on the fender trim. Not a perfect paint job, but better than the flat black that was brushed on and deteriorating plastic

Also did a little insulation on the floor while we had everything from under the coach.

Mysterious Epoxy Compound.

Highly toxic, difficult to make, and even more difficult to use.

Cheers Sidekick
Tony

PS. Beautiful work.

Well in the summer of 2019, we lost our spare tire cover!
Some where in southern Nebraska or northwest Missouri, there is probably a really messed up spare tire cover. As we all know they are NLA unless you can find one that is from someone parting out a classic!

To that, I decided to make my own out of aluminum. This is where I'm at now, fixed to the rig and hinged at the top. This one won't get away!
Shocks hold it up and not really a problem getting the tire in or out.

Still more work to do to finish dressing it up and painting.

I would like to know if someone can tell me the diameter of the round sticker that AS put on the plastic cover?

Top of the line solution, as usual Chris. It will be hard for you to leave up to your own work some day...
Do not have precise dimensions of the decal, but this is what I did to my old 310 after I replaced the upper panels and decided to relocated the Airstream letters

Not likely Brad, LOL!
Don't think anyone would like a 2 1/2 year delivery time!

Have your guy make 2 and you can make a little money selling one to me! Great job on that spare tire cover, I'm impressed.

Will Do Chief. If the Airstream don't work out, will just do the block 310 in place of that. Will let you know what happens.

Got it painted with the lower belt paint. Looks good from a "galloping horse"

Well I installed the new spare tire cover. I put on a SS handle to help assist releasing the two latches on each side. Operates smoothly.

cmadmaxman, what color did you use on your tire cover and front banana wrap corners. That color goes good with my dark gray belt trim I had to use since black is not available in the sizes needed. Fantastic job on your classic.
